About Quazi Design
Quazi Design was born out of a collaboration between a designer and a local publisher: they decided to set up a project that created local employment in Eswatini, in the south of Africa. What started in 2010 as a local experiment for social impact, is today a thriving and promising community that focuses on the work of local craftswomen and artists. All products are handmade from surplus paper, by a small team of women who are paid a fair wage through a fixed contract.
In addition to its social mission, Quazi Design also has a sustainable mission: all the beads are therefore made from surplus paper and other recycled materials. Using material remnants and drying techniques that make optimal use of the sun and the local climate, we can speak of a project that is 100% in line with ETIKL’s values: sustainable, vegan and ethical.
